The Scottish Beer Community
Scottish Beer Community was born during lockdown as a space to bring together lovers of Scottish beer to connect and share virtually.
Now we are back out in taprooms, bars and breweries the Scottish Beer Community continues to be a space to share our passion, curiosity and love of Scottish beer. Welcoming beer drinkers, brewers, shop owners and everyone in-between it has become a place to talk about new releases, upcoming events and meetups and to champion local shops and products.
We hope to grow the community in the coming days, weeks and months and hope you will come with us for the ride online and in the real world now. Check in to see competitions, beer releases, sneak peeks, events and more!

Meet The Crew
Ian Clark
The founder of the Scottish Beer Community was Ian Clark, with 15 years in the industry of beer, booze and brilliant nights out. He has a real passion for all things Scottish, but especially beer. Having worked in a brewery, bar and bottle shop he’s done a bit of everything including having an award winning brewery tour. A true craft beer lover with all the beard to go with it. |
Beth Burkitt
Beth hasn’t been in the beer scene as long as Ian, in fact he introduced her not quite expecting her to fall in love with it as much as she has. Whisky had once been her drink of choice but this quickly shifted. Starting out as a novice she gained a liking for craft and found a passion for Scottish beer. Perpetually impressed by the talent and ingenuity in the scene she’ll seize any opportunity to try something new. |
Eevee the floofster
Eevee has been known to frequent every bar, bottle shop and brewery that would take her. Partial to a sneaky lick of a beer glass when no ones looking, her favourite part of beer is that it makes her humans more likely to feed her cheese from the fridge. |
